How the Lock Slide feature works

What is the Lock Slide feature and why is it useful?

The Lock Slide feature is a new functionality that empowers managers to control the editing possibilities of specific slides. It ensures that designated slides remain unalterable in terms of design and content, providing a safeguard against unauthorized modifications. This feature is particularly beneficial for preserving critical information, such as product details, brand-sensitive content, contact information, billing details, and legal terms, which should remain unchanged by end users.

Unlike PowerPoint's Lock feature, which only secures the position of slide content, SlideHub's Lock Slide feature extends its protection to the content itself. By combining these locked slides with dynamic content placeholders, you can guarantee the seamless updating of specific information by your team members while maintaining the overall integrity of the locked content. The utility of this feature lies in its ability to prevent inadvertent or unauthorized changes to crucial slides.

Watch the video below to see the feature in action:

To access company slides, just open your company slide library in the SlideHub task pane.

Locked slides are instantly recognizable by the little lock icon added to the slide's thumbnail.

To "lock" a slide, just go to its settings and toggle the Lock slide contents switch.

That’s it! Your slide is now locked and you can rest easy that placeholders and are ready for end-users to insert and replace the content automatically.
